Profile Bio
The founding Partner of Karawani Law Firm, established in Syria in 1994. A seasoned legal professional with extensive experience advising leading regional and international investors on complex commercial, corporate, financing, and infrastructure matters. His work spans major projects in cement manufacturing, real estate, tourism, banking, PPPs, construction, and aviation, including high-value BOT and joint venture structures. Osama holds a Bachelor of Law from Damascus University and is recognized for his leadership, strategic insight, and deep expertise across real estate, construction, tourism, oil and gas, and corporate transactions.
Professional Experience
Osama worked in advising and handling the legal work for leading investors from the Arab World. He has been involving in advising leading companies in Syria on different commercial matters, litigation, financing, loans, discounting bills, bonds, etc. He is involved in setting up and licensing different Cement factories in Syria as Alrajihi Cement Project with a capital of US$200 million, and Guris Company from Turkey with a capital of US$250 million.
Moreover, Osama has acted for several large real estate, health and tourism projects for major investors as Palm Village Hotel & Resort in Damascus (US$20 million Project) and Afamia Tourism Project in Latakia –Syria (US$40 million Project for Saudi Ben Laden Group, also has worked for Mak Hospitality & Touristic Investment for Alkhourafi Group from Kuwait.

- Licensing Bank of Jordan and advising on major financing deals for the bank.
- Negotiating financing transaction of 100 M USD for a cement Factory in Syria.
- Advising the International Bank for Trade and Finance IBTF in Syria on their major financial and loan deals.
- Setting up and advising CPC Construction Building Material Holding Company, with 13 different companies and factories in the Industrial Zone, a US$60 million project established as a one-stop shop for building materials.
- Advising on the first project of its kind on port management, Tartous Port is one of the first PPPs in Syria, awarded in year 2007.
- Advising and setting up a private aviation company for both passengers and cargo, the first approval has been issued.
- Working on Alhijaz Station, a tourism project of US$150 million to be implemented as a BOT project in Syria by Almazloum Company, Saudi. Advising Superlit Company from Turkey.
